Our first post!

Mr. G and I have talked about starting a blog for a while, for a number of different reasons, here are just a few:

1.      We always seem to meet and see the most interesting people while out and about. (Typically we see a couple deciding it’s a really good idea to have a make out session in public, it’s crazy how often this happens to us.)

2.      My new husband has a tendency to strike up a conversation with strangers and eventually hears their entire life story, sometimes funny….sometimes not so much. (Like the time he met the convicted felon on a plane to Naples, FL.  This guy was a major drug dealer and had just been released after 4 years from a prison in upstate New York.)

3.      Our home in Minneapolis is almost 100 years old; while this house has character, beautiful hard wood floors and gorgeous built ins, it also comes with “the critters”.  Yep, we have battled bats (my husband has had rabies shots after being bitten), gray squirrels, flying squirrels, mice and really pesky birds.  Just to name a few.  Don’t get me started on the plumbing issues we have had!  There is always a story coming out of this house.  But no matter what, this house is where we call home.

4.      We both come from incredibly entertaining families (sorry guys, we love you!) and often times they get themselves into quite interesting situations.  (Like the time my younger sister decided to get hit in the head with a softball, she is okay, but simply texted the entire family a picture of her in the ER with a softball sized lump on her forehead.  Caption “I’m okay”….my mom wasn’t amused)

5.      Mr. G and I are newlyweds and I know that this new territory will come with its share of fun, hilarious, serious, and embarrassing moments and who knows what else.  So why not share that with the world right?!

The list of reasons to document parts of our lives could go on for a while, but we think this will be a fun way to get our memories down on paper to share with all of you.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

With love,

Mrs. G

PS.  Stay tuned for my next post about the old Italian waiter Saul we met on our honeymoon, he was adorable!  And Mr. G will pop in to tell you about getting our sailboat in the water, there is always a story thereJ
